MMAP was the grateful recipient of Ashintosh Foundation Community Grant in 2015, and in discussion with the LWH that money went directly to help pay the salary of the nurse in the Hospital’s new ICTC.
The ICTC will offer testing and counselling of HIV and TB patients at the LWH and will also allow the routine testing of all antenatal and preoperative patients. HIV and TB are prevalent in the Manali area, and the ICTC is something the LWH has been working towards for a number of years.
The 2015 MMAP team was lucky enough to be present at the opening the new clinic and to see where the Foundation’s generous donation would be at work!
